OurStory PhotoLife is a journey with many paths; our mission is to preserve and support the dignity and uniqueness of each person.

Mission Statement

And for us, that mission starts at home. For three generations, the Levine family has passionately worked to create a home environment based on traditional values that recognizes the unique needs of each resident. Our Person-Centered Care philosophy accentuates and emphasizes the individual and his or her preferences.

Loudonville’s Long Family History – A Message From Mike

We first opened our doors to Capital Region seniors in 1949 as a small, skilled-nursing home located in Westmere. In 1969, my father, Gerald Levine (1918 -2000), opened our current location at 298 Albany Shaker Road, known at that time as “Old Loudonville.”

We have proudly served Albany’s senior community for more than four decades by operating the Loudonville Assisted Living Residence. In memorandum of my father, the Gerald Levine Center for Memory Care opened in 2005 as a place where people with Alzheimer’s and related memory disorders can thrive. Now we are overjoyed to announce the tremendous success of our new Enhanced Assisted Living wing, which opened in May 2014.

Our family heritage and commitment continue to evolve, especially as we welcomed my daughter Rhea Levine, Esq. in 2014 – the third generation in a truly unique family-owned and -operated business. We plan to be here for generations to come, adapting to meet the needs of our changing senior population with our three distinct communities of care.

Sincerely,
Mike Levine
